Time to dig out the Union Jacks, dust off the fine china and buy a new hat, as the Royal Wedding is almost upon us…
That’s right, in a month’s time the fifth in line to the throne Prince Harry, will marry his American sweetheart, actress Meghan Markle – best known for her role in the TV show Suits.
The ceremony is taking place at St George’s Chapel, a historic venue in the grounds of Windsor Castle, on Saturday 19th May 2018, with things set to kick off around 12pm (GMT)/7am (ET).

Royal Wedding viewing parrrtaaay, Toronto!
We are SUPER excited to have teamed up with the BCCTC and the Loyal Societies to bring the festivities of the big day to Toronto (we do love a good ol’ knees up, and this is Meghan’s adopted home town after all). The Duke of Cornwall pub (University Avenue/Dundas Street West) has kindly extended opening hours to accommodate us from 7am.
Guests are encouraged to dress fancily, or in fancy dress if you’re that way inclined, either will suffice, but neither is mandatory.
Conveniently, the date falls on the same day as the FA Cup Final at Wembley, so following on from the nuptials, the pub will show the game LIVE, so be sure to stick around. We now know that it’ll be Chelsea vs Manchester United in the showpiece final, kick-off at 12.15 (ET).

CTV News cameras will be shooting throughout the event, so bring your “A” game!
Attendees will be able to take part in a raffle, and we’re pleased to announce that 50% of proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warriors charity. Some great prizes are on offer, including a signed Toronto Wolfpack shirt from the inaugural promotion winning season, a pair of hospitality tickets to a Toronto Wolfpack game of your choice, bottles of Hush Heath Balfour 1503 Sparkling Rosé, to name just a few. There will also be a 50-50 draw.
Our good friends at Quiz Coconut will be providing light entertainment throughout the event, including Royal Wedding/FA Cup themed trivia.
Each guest will receive a souvenir gift to remind them of the event, courtesy of TFB & Associates Ltd (a jar of Chivers – a British brand of jams).
